Theory: Woody's Roundup, In-Universe Series Revival?

Image
I’m sure we’re all aware of Toy Story 2 , when that toy collector guy, Al stole Woody for his Woody’s Roundup memorabilia collection, since the toy museum he wanted to sell it to was only interested in a complete collection. But if Woody, Jessie and Bullseye are so valuable and rare, why exactly does this never get addressed when the antique store owner in Toy Story 4 saw Woody or in Monsters Inc , when Boo has a Jessie doll in her room? Nobody would let a little kid play with something that valuable, not to mention, they seem to be everywhere right now, including Andy’s childhood bedsheets and cowboy hat.  My theory is simple. After the Woody’s Roundup series was canceled, toy companies in the Pixar-verse eventually made an attempt to revive the series, which naturally included less-valuable secondary editions of the toys.   Toy companies do that all the time. *  Barbie, Pound Puppies, Lincoln Logs, My Little Pony, GI Joe, He-Man, Strawberry Shortcake, yo...

Update: Closure on Jessie and Emily

Image
SPOILERS AHEAD.  In Toy Story 5 , we've lost one fan theory and gained another.  As you might remember, Jessie, the cowgirl doll, and apparently Woody's sister, has had a crippling fear of enclosed spaces and being abandoned ever since Emily, the little girl she originally belonged to, left her in a cardboard box to be donated to charity  when she outgrew playing with dolls. While anyone who’s seen Toy Story 2 probably remembers how traumatized Jessie was about being abandoned by her best friend after spending years forgotten under the bed, but this movie offered some much-needed closure for us as well as Jessie.  After Bonnie, the little girl Andy donated his old toys to when he went off to college, lost Jessie and her horse, Bullseye, they ended up at Emily’s childhood home since the people who found her had read the address written on Jessie in case she’d been misplaced.  It turns out that while Emily did give Jessie away, she never entirely forgotten the m...

Story Hangovers: The Parent Trap (and the Bad Parenting Trap)

Remember The Parent Trap? The identical twins who were separated after their parents broke up because they didn’t want to have to constantly switch them between two different schools? There's a simple solution to that . It's called homeschooling.  I might’ve only watched the movie because my mom made me, but it still made me think. How exactly is their “solution” better?  Honestly, wha t kind of parents break up twins and never tell them that the other exists? I don’t have a twin, but I know plenty of them and I’ve asked them about it and researched this topic since I’ve always wanted one.  Not only is it completely unfair to deny the girls their right to know their sister, but separating identical twins can cause physiological issues later in life. These include a feeling that they’re constantly missing a part of themselves and are alone in the world which can lead them to violently act out because they don’t know how to express these feelings, since the bond ...

Calm Down, People. RE: Bluey

Image
Apparently, a bunch of helicopter parents got upset over yet another tiny thing. In the episode of Bluey titled The Sign, when Bluey’s mother, Chili, brings Bluey, her five-year-old sister, Bingo, and their two cousins, four-year-old Muffin and two-year-old Socks with her in the family car, because there’s only room in the backseat for three, as the oldest, Bluey is allowed to ride in the front seat for the first time in her life. Which she was thrilled about.  I don’t blame you, Bluey. I remember my first time in the front. It was pretty exciting. Especially when you’re the oldest so you get to do it before your siblings. It made the sixteen month age gap between myself and my brother feel huge .  Parents got worried about their younger kids wanting to ride shotgun and/or out of the booster seat because Bluey got to, but there’s an easy solution to that.   Just tell them that Bluey is seven, which is the legal minimum age for kids to ride up front and she’s almost bi...

Why Straws Weird Me Out Sometimes

Image
I have a completely random, yet profoundly deep question. Does a straw have two separate holes or is the straw itself just one long hole with an opening on either end?  I’ve looked it up and no two search engines will give me the same answer.

The Busting Paradox

In Phineas and Ferb, I understand Candace wants to bust her brothers for their daily crazy inventions, but there’s one thing I don’t think she’s considered.  Since Candace has been bugging her parents to leave her in charge since she’s the oldest, if she does successfully expose her brothers for something they did while she was supposed to be watching them, wouldn’t that mean she’d get herself in trouble too?

Random Questions

Questions for March 19, 2026 Before lightbulbs were invented, what did people see over their heads when they had an idea? Would the economy still be a mess if whoever's idea money was hadn't thought of it and we still just bartered things?

Shout-Out to: My Second Cousin

Image
At my second cousin’s, that’s my grandma’s little sister’s daughter’s baby shower, I got permission to shout out Joanna and her husband Abbot about their new baby. I can’t tell you the name because they’re not revealing it until he’s born. Still, congratulations to Joanna and Abbot on their first!
